AB L'article traite du développement de la théologie missionnaire catholique entre le Concile Vatican I et le Concile Vatican II, et explore comment les enseignements papaux sur les questions missionnaires ont jeté les bases de la missiologie catholique. L'étude se penche principalement sur des articles publié dans la revue de l'Université Urbaniana Euntes Docete visant à donner un aperçu des principaux thèmes des discussions missiologiques de 1948 à 1965.
