Riepilogo:"But if it is by the finger of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you" (Lk 11:20). With these words, Jesus proclaims the successful victory over the demons - a sure sign that the beginning power of God (βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ) is near. By comparison, Agatha Christie's literary exorcism of the demons of her time and world was meant to establish justice and righteousness in twentieth century England after two world wars. With her "exorcism of the demons" she fought the traumatic war experiences and the norms and rules of the traditional Victorian society, which forced men and women to act as puppets. At the end of her crime stories, the readers may find peace in a world of spiritual well-being, in a realm of justice and righteousness, in what one might call the kingdom of God.
