Resumo:A considerable number of objections can be raised against the idea that it is necessary to have a third generation of human rights, in addition to the already recognized right to various forms of freedom, and to the claim to social rights based on the demands of international solidarity (in the first place to development, peace and an healthy and balanced environment), which is called for as an answer to the global phenomenona of crisis. It can be argued that this cannot properly be a subject of human rights, since these are entitled to individuals, not to collectivities. The outlines of these rights are unclear as regards who are the subjects and the bearers of the rights, what their content should be, and their precise quality as rights. Their recognition brings dangers to the idea of human rights in themselves. A number of distinctions need to be made in order to grasp what is intended in this conception: in particular, between moral and legal rights, between human rights and rights of peoples, between human rights and the standards of human rights.
