Description
Résumé:Romano Guardini's book „Der Herr" has since its publication in 1937 become the most widely read and loved book about Jesus in Germany. It contains homiletically oriented meditations on the life of Jesus. Nevertheless, behind the easy style it is obvious that Guardini was conversant with exegetical and theological problems. The author shows how Guardini grasped exegetical dimensions of the biblical texts and put them to use in his theological interpretations that easily stand the test of time with three controversial examples.
