Riepilogo:Romano Guardini's book „Der Herr" has since its publication in 1937 become the most widely read and loved book about Jesus in Germany. It contains homiletically oriented meditations on the life of Jesus. Nevertheless, behind the easy style it is obvious that Guardini was conversant with exegetical and theological problems.
