Yet »conversion«, despite of being a coherent possibility (if not necessity) of sincere dialogue and intercultural exchange, seems to trespass political correctness. A mimetical view on several phenomena and aspects of tolerance points out the unuttered barriers and what conversion in a Girardian sense really means: Accepting the vanity of mimetic desire and not hating neither oneself nor any other person for that desire changes the very roots and powers of interpersonal engagement and thus lets come through a completely new foundation for tolerance.
