AB Main description: Die Millenniumsvision der Johannesoffenbarung zielt nicht auf den Trost in einer Christenverfolgung, sondern sie warnt Christen vor einer allzu großen Bereitschaft zur Teilnahme am Leben ihrer heidnischen Umwelt, denn diese Teilnahme ist nicht möglich ohne die Berührung mit dem heidnischen Götterkult. Wer sich aber mit dem heidnischen Kult befleckt, wird nicht an der „Auferstehung0 und am „tausendjährigen Messiasreich0 teilnehmen, sondern er wird beim Endgericht im „Pfuhl von Feuer und Schwefel0 den „zweiten Tod0 erleiden.
AB Main description: The vision of the millennium in the Book of Revelation is not intended to offer comfort to Christians in a time of persecution, but to serve as a warning to them not to be too ready to participate in the life of their pagan environment, for such participation is not possible without contact with the cult ofpagan gods.
