| Zusammenfassung: | The current reality for women ministers is that they are paid significantly less than their male counterparts. Women of color in ministry encounter an even more bleak outlook with regard to salaries and benefits. Working for equality requires something of us all. Women ministers need to advocate for themselves by participating in the process of negotiating and asking for fair and equitable salary packages. Women must also advocate for one another and stand with their sisters in this work toward pay equality. But for true change to happen, male ministers will need to take the lead. Equality in the church requires us to change the way we have always related to one another as women and men and to work together to make that equality a reality. |
