Topics include traditional Orthodoxy as a marker of communal identity, the struggle for meaning and relevance after years of theological and cultural captivity, and the perceived threats to Orthodox teaching and practice. Also discussed are tradition by negation, the Balkan independence movements in the 19th century, and intellectual hegemony.
