Description
Summary:The article discusses the impact and the various implications which the regeneration of Islam and indeed the rise of destabilizing political movements animated by religious fervor around the world, have on the classical methods and tools of forecasting the stability of political regimes. It is argued that the effervescence of Islamic identity throughout the world represents a shift in economic and political power which could probably be epochal. Islamic polities therefore should be judged by Islamic criteria rather than by the allegedly universal criteria of a non-Muslim world. (DÜI-Asd)
