Summary: | This article engages the genesis of Raymund Schwager's theological thinking in the context of the Cold War. It is argued that his development of a very specific dogmatic theology with its focus on processes of exclusion and victimization can only be understood adequately, if this pressing sign of the time of the late 20th century is taken into account. Schwager's theology cannot be separated from his commitment to the peace movement. In this context, the importance of the hypotheses of cultural theorist Rene Girard and the notion of the fides Christi for developing his model of a Dramatic model of soteriology are described. Thus, Dramatic Theology is put in a surprisingly new light. |
