Summary:Many scholars recognize the liturgical character of the Apocalypse of John. This is supported by the presence of eight hymns found in the book. These hymns are found in the context of descriptions of heavenly liturgy. Four of these hymns are placed next to a reference to the temple (ναός): 7:9-11; 11:15-18; 15:3-4 and 16:5-7. The article explores the relationship between the heavenly liturgy and the temple which is interpreted as a symbol of the Church.
Plusieurs biblistes reconnaissent le caractère liturgique de l’Apocalypse de Jean. Cette hypothèse est étayée par la présence de huit hymnes trouvés dans le livre. Ces hymnes se rencontrent dans les descriptions de la liturgie céleste. Quatre d’entre eux sont proches d’une mention du temple (ναός): 7:9-11; 11:15-18; 15:3-4 et 16:5-7. L’article étudie le lien entre la liturgie céleste et le temple considéré comme un symbole de l’Église.
