We must read Ex 2,2 in the continuity of the Patriarchal history, and of the narratives of the creation and of the flood. Ex 2,3 with the mentions of Spt hy’r and swp, prepares the transition from the expression Spt hy’r to the expression Spt hym (14,30) identified to the ym swp (13,18).
