In this article, a further parallel between the Old-Egyptian and Arabic language is demonstrated. In the concrete case the goal will be to show that in both languages verbs with the first meaning “to take” can assume a second meaning “to start, to begin”.

Im konkreten Fall wird es darum gehen, dass in beiden Sprachen Verben mit der Primärbedeutung „nehmen, empfangen“ die Sekundärbedeutung „beginnen“ erhalten haben. |
