Résumé: | In the space of a hundred years, the Evangelical movement has rallied to its cause more than a quarter of the Christians in the entire world. In order to understand the mechanisms of religious transnationalism on such a scale, this article follows the thread of Pentecostalism through several places and moments considered to be decisive for its evolution. The objective is to shed light on the emergence of its spirit of revival and, in parallel, its famous "chameleon competence" which leads the Evangelical movement, in its most recent variants, to a more utilitarian conception of faith. |
