Описание
Итог:"This collection was begun in the early 1900’s by the young John Christian Tanis, father of James Robert Tanis, donor of the cards to the Princeton Theological Seminary Archive. It has only been since 2004 that the focus of the collecting has been church postcards, and the word “church” has been very broadly interpreted to include religious buildings of all faiths, including temples, synagogues and mosques. Now (2014-2015) there are approximately 30,000 cards, roughly divided between the United States and the rest of the world. The cards are arranged geographically. The US cards are arranged by state, then by city or town, then alphabetically by the name of the church. If the name does not include the denomination, that designation is given separately"
