Résumé: | The beginning of the καίγε section in 2 Samuel is still a matter of debate among Septuagint scholars. 2 Samuel 10 is at times considered part of the βγ section, at times part of the ββ section. This article explores the reasons that lead scholars like Thackeray, Barthélemy, Shenkel and Wirth to accept or reject 2 Samuel 10 as part of the καίγε section and offers an evaluation of the current status of the research on the subject. The analysis of the relevant text-critical evidence leads to the conclusion that 2 Samuel 10 should be considered part of the καίγε section. |
