总结:The construction of five separate scales to assess the "dimensions" of religiosity by Faulkner and DeJong suggests an independence among the scales which has not been demonstrated. A comparison of the average intrascale item correlations with the average interscale values indicates close correspondence among the Ritualistic, Experiential, Intellectual, and Ideological scales, with the Ideological emerging as the predominant one. In addition, the construction of a composite scale based on the 5-D scales more than adequately meets the minimum criteria of Guttman scaling. These data suggest some question as to the "separateness" of the 5-D scales.
