| Summary: | Medellín é um chamado profético à integração das mais diversas estruturas na direção da humanização do continente latino-americano e caribenho. Apresenta análises e orientações quanto aos três grandes setores estruturais no processo de transformação do Continente: a promoção humana e dos povos; as mudanças nas condições de vida e a necessária evangelização e educação na fé; e as ações pastorais condizentes com as necessidades e condições do Continente. Para tanto, verificamos que a Conferência de Medellín é um eco latino-americano e caribenho da vocação e missão propostas pelo Concílio Vaticano II. Em seguida, a partir do chamado de Medellín a uma compreensão de Educação Libertadora, apresentamos duas chaves de leitura. A primeira diz respeito ao movimento profético que reconhece a Educação como solo fecundo para a sociedade, e a segunda diz respeito à dinâmica dialógica necessária para a realização de um projeto educacional que interpele e se deixe interpelar pela sociedade moderna e, ao mesmo tempo, experimente um clima propício nãoapenas ao discernimento crítico, mas também à criação de novas estruturas de humanização. A Conferência de Medellín nos convoca, desde nossa profunda vocação como discípulos e seguidores do mestre Jesus, a perseverar na atitude de escuta atenta aos sinais dos tempos e de respostas éticas, criativas e coerentes com o projeto do Reino. Medellín is a prophetic calling for the integration of the most diverse structures towards the humanization of the Latin American and Caribbean continent. It presents analysis and orientation regarding the three major structural sectors in the process of transformation of the continent: the human promotion as well as that of the peoples, changes in life conditions and the necessary evangelization and education in the faith and the pastoral actions compatible with the needs and conditions of the continent. As to reach that aim, we assume that the Medellín Conference is a Latin American and Caribbean echo of the vocation and mission proposed by the Vatican Council II. We bring to our reflection two reading keys present in this thematic axle of Education. The first key refers to the prophetic movement that recognizes Education as a fecund soil for society; the second key refers to the dialogical dynamics necessary for the carrying out of an educational project that questions modern society and lets itself be questioned by it; and that, at the same time, experiences an auspicious atmosphere not only for critical judgement but also for the creation of new humanization structures. The Medellin Conference is a call for us, in our deepest vocation of disciples and followers of our Master Jesus, to persevere in the attitude of listening attentively to the signs of times and of responding ethically, creatively and coherently to the project of the Kingdom. |
