Resumo:Lutherans and many other Christians make much of baptism as a core for their theology and religious life. Yet the question of how baptism is transformative of the human person is less clear. Here, the imagery of being "sealed by the Holy Spirit" is investigated as a means of clarifying and strengthening the understanding of the transformative power of baptism.
