Summary: | On all sides there are expressions of concern that as a result of current challenges from digitalisation and automation in our modern, technology-based mass society, final limits are being set to responsibility. How can there be responsibility in the global financial market system, where algorithms operate that not even any longer understood by those who have programmed them (at least that is what they claim), or with responsibility as regards autonomous driver assistance systems? Despite this the call for responsibility seems to have lost none of its vehemence. This article offers some reflections on how we can deal with the fact that we are clearly struggling with responsibility. |
