Description
Summary:This article reviews monographs and collections of essays published between 2017 - 2019 on Jewish history, on the history of Jewish-Christian relations, on Jewish philosophy and on traditional and modern Jewish Bible exegesis. In the wake of the 500th anniversary celebrations of the Reformation in Germany (2017), the focus is especially on the history of the Jewish-Christian controversy in Central Europe in the 16th century and in the early modern period. Furthermore, publications on Jewish-Christian reconciliation in the German speaking countries after 1945 are reviewed. Special interest is given to books and essays focussing on the history of antisemitism and on contemporary phenomena of hatred towards the Jews.STEPHAN CONERMANN (ed.), Muslim-Jewish Relations in the Middle Islamic Period.
