| Summary: | Sexuelle Gewalt gegen Kinder und Jugendliche war bis vor kurzem eines der großen Tabuthemen unserer Gesellschaft. Ein katholischer Geistlicher, Jesuit und Schulleiter eines Gymnasiums hat Anfang des Jahres 2010 das Tabu gebrochen und damit nicht nur eine tiefe Krise in seiner Kirche, sondern weit reichende Enthüllungen und eine öffentliche Debatte ausgelöst, welche Verbreitung und Tragweite dieser Art von Machtmissbrauch in erschreckender Weise zu Tage förderten. Die folgenden Überlegungen rekapitulieren, wie in Gesellschaft, Staat und Kirche im Lauf des Jahres 2010 mit dem Thema umgegangen wurde, und reflektieren in der Perspektive einer christlichen Sozialethik die Frage nach Ursachen und Tiefendimensionen der Krise im Institutionenzusammenhang der katholischen Kirche. Sexual Abuse of children and adolescents has been one of the great taboos of modern societies. In the beginning of 2010 a Catholic priest, director of a highschool (Gymnasium) in Berlin, broke the silence and informed the public about a number of cases of sexual abuse by members of the Jesuit community in the past. Not only a deep crisis of the church was initiated, since in numerous pedagogical institutions, both religious and secular, a series of similar cases became obvious. A huge public debate about the reasons and the structures of sexual violence against children came up, and the issue of prevention was situated on the agenda of the political and the religious institutions. The following essay reflects the discussion and analyzes from a Christian social ethical point of view the structural reasons of the crisis within the institutional context of the Catholic church. |
