Description
Résumé:Sin and suffering are indivisible in their cause-effect relationship in Asia. Using liberation hermeneutics as an interpretive lens, this article will explore a theological concept of sin and suffering and three aspects of liberation: holistic, exclusive, and inclusive liberation. It will also note, however, that holistic liberation is not just one type among the three; it is, in a sense, that which provides the basis for an inclusive liberation. From this account, this study will argue that inclusive liberation theology is a liberation not just of the oppressed, but also by the oppressed for the mutual benefit of both the oppressed and oppressors in Asia.
