Three non-akkadian words in late-babylonian documents
Each of the three words discussed below is non-Akkadian: girisuakarrānu is hybrid (Arameo-Iranian), uštajammu is Iranian and maḫaṣṣatu is Aramaic. The words have not been satisfactorily explained except for uštajammu for which an etymology has already been proposed.
