| Σύνοψη: | The amendment, landslide and construction of religious buildings that hosted the sambenitos, as well as natural deterioration, their numerical increase and economic problems of the Holy Office of Mexico led to the exposure of those infamous cloths became progressively restricted, going from visually privileged to other more discreet and even absent in certain periods. La modificación, derrumbamiento y construcción de los recintos religiosos que albergaron los sambenitos, así como el deterioro natural de los mismos, su aumento numérico y los problemas económicos del Tribunal del Santo Oficio de México provocaron que la exposición de aquellos paños infamantes se hiciera progresivamente restringida, al pasar de lugares visualmente privilegiados a otros más discretos e incluso a estar ausentes en determinados períodos. |
