Unter intensiver Berücksichtigung der Religionsgeschichte werden Altes und Neues Testament darauf abgehört, welches Grund-Wissen über Gott als »den uns Liebenden« vermittelt wird. Im Dialog des Alt- und Neutestamentlers ist so eine biblische Theologie entstanden, welche die theologischen Topoi in ihrem geschichtlichen Werdegang nachzeichnet und zugleich nach sachlichem Gewicht sowie logischem Zusammenhang ordnet.
