Summary:This Special Issue discusses the results of the international COVID-19 survey that took place during the first wave of the pandemic. This contribution discusses chaplaincy in a psychiatric hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chaplaincy vignettes with patients and interventions with staff are described, showing how chaplaincy changed and remained the same during this time. The focus here is on acknowledging disturbed and broken connections, as well as intervening to sustain community.
