Description
Résumé:The relationship between creation and salvation becomes a Problem if salvation is considered as a new beginning of divine action which stands in contrast to the original order of creation. The early church, reacting against Marcion and seeking a balance nevertheless accentuated salvation more than creation. In modern times, however, with the well known difficulties concerning salvation at the background, this understanding is criticised. Theologians today plead for a partial revision of this traditional understanding: owing to God's fidelity to création, one should overcome the overemphasis on soteriology. The article assesses critically the plausibility of such an attempt and tries to reconstruct the entailments of the Christian concepts of creation and salvation.
