Description
Summary:Marriage in the Accord between the Waldensian Church and the Italian State - To those interested in the issue of mixed marriage, the present study proposes to examine more completely the conclusions reached between the Italian State and the Churches represented by the "Synod Valdese" and the content of the Accord resulting from this meeting. This encounter chose to rely on the legislation of the "rites" permitted regarding marriage, in order to render a service to the faithful as well as to those whose intention is to enter into a mixed marriage, by avoiding two celebrations. The Waldensian Church, in view of the discussion of art. 8, third paragraph of the Italian Constitution , given the climate of mutual recognition and trust, requests that this ability in favor of one celebration not only be maintained, but that the significant, juridical aspects also be reexamined. It is therefore possible to enter into a marriage with a religious ceremiony governed in all respects by the norms of the Waldensian Church in which the exchange of consent given in the presence of the Waldensian minister is viewed as a valid consent in the eyes of the State; a further consideration is that in the Waldensian legislation, a marriage is only considered to be valid, if it is also civilly valid
