| Summary: | Through this study of the painting “The Virgin of the Mirror” we will analyze all aspects of it, which in my opinion make it unique within the Marian iconology. It is an unpublished painting for the general public because it has never been exhibited in any museum, since the painting was acquired and always remained in a Spanish family since the 16th century. It was only exhibited at auction in Madrid in 2007 where it was acquired by its current owner., Estudio de la original pintura “La Virgen del Espejo”. Se trata de una pintura inédita para el público en general pues no ha sido nunca expuesta. Tras su adquisición, permaneció siempre en una familia española desde el siglo XVI. Solamente fue expuesta en subasta en Madrid en el año 2007 donde fue adquirida por su actual propietario. |
