| Résumé: | El artículo presenta las diferentes posturas académicas frente a la cuestión del conocimiento real que tuvo san Agustín del griego, para señalar que la competencia de san Agustín fue aumentando con el paso de los años. Se aborda también la relación entre san Agustín y san Jerónimo sobre a las traducciones de la Biblia, y el valor que san Agustín atribuía al texto de los LXX. Posteriormente se ofrece una serie de ejemplos sacados de las enarrationes in salmos de la labor de la emendatio agustiniana del texto latino a partir del texto griego, así como del uso que hace san Agustín del texto griego en su propia interpretación textual de los salmos., The article presents a summary of the ideas of different scholars concerning the real knowledge that Saint Augustine had of the Greek Language, to point out that the competence of Saint Augustine was increasing over the years. It also addresses the relationship between Saint Augustine and Saint Jerome regarding the translations of the Bible, and the value that Saint Augustine attributed to the LXX text. Subsequently, sorne examples taken from the enarrationes in Psalmos help to stress the work of the augustinian emendatio of the Latín text, taking as point of departure the Greek text, as well as the use the Greek text in Augustine's own textual interpretation of the psalms. |
