Description
Summary:Considering and connecting various differences such as gender, class, race etc., «intersectionality» proves to be «a handy catchall phrase that aims to make visible the multiple positioning that constitutes everyday life and the power relations that are central to it» (A. Phoenix/P. Pattynama). How can «intersectionality» be applied to intercultural gender-ethics? In answer to this question, this paper fi rst delineates the development and various accounts of intersectionality as a notion and method in gender studies.
