总结: | As a preliminary to theorizing about meeting the needs of missionary children, a questionnaire was distributed to parents in over seventy missionary locations. Their responses exhibited a contradiction in their thought between the benefits they perceived the multicultural experience conferred on their children and the readiness with which they embraced quite different values when deciding on their children's further formal education. A more consistent rationale is developed in the second part of the study, arguing for four elements in a balanced education for such children. From these are derived a charter of specific curriculum expectations. |
