Description
Summary:Two sheets of different Sifre Tora, one in leather, one in parchment, are published for the first time. A short introduction in the methods of the preparation of skins gives an insight in the process of leather and skin production. Then codicological aspects of Sifre Tora are discussed in connection with the presentation of the dates of the two sheets. The occurrence of the Pisqa be’emsa` Pasuq in Dtn 2,8b gives rise to a discussion of this masoretic problem.
