Σύνοψη:Sean Freyne, Professor Emeritus at Trinity College Dublin, is well known for his distinguished expertise on the subject of ancient Galilee, including its relevance as a setting for the ministry of Jesus. Here he brings this wealth of knowledge to bear on a synthetic account of Jesus specifically as a Galilean., With under 200 pages of text and notes, this is an accessible and attractively presented book that treads lightly in surveying a surprisingly wide and fresh range of Jesus research. It draws together a number of lectures given in a variety of contexts, without intending to provide a comprehensive narrative. As a result, a good many standard subjects of conventional ‘Jesus books’ are touched upon only in passing.
