Summary:The 17 articles collected in this volume form an excellent illustration of Professor Brock's qualities as both a close student of Syriac texts and a sympathetic expositor of Syriac-speaking Christian theology. After four papers on Christology, focusing mainly on the Church of the East, the spotlight turns on invocations of the Holy Spirit.
