Summary:The last decade of the past century saw a renewed interest in the redaction history of the Book of the Twelve. Rather than simply looking at individual prophetic books it was stressed increasingly that we have to consider redactional strands that point beyond the individual unit and be aware of textual links that connect the books with each other. Now it seems to be time to evaluate such models, and monographs have started to appear that critique the redaction-historical concepts put forth by scholars like O.H. Steck, J. Nogalski, A. Schart and B.M. Zapff. In contrast to studies that simply use one textual topic such as the ‘Day of Yahweh’ for a lengthy positive or negative critique of the notion of a Book of the Twelve (e.g. M.
