Description
Summary:Paternoster in 2006 published the seventh volume, Canon and Biblical Interpretation, in the Scripture and Hermeneutics Series, an international joint project involving the British and Foreign Bible Society, three academic institutions, and two publishers. This seventh volume is largely modelled on the work of Brevard S. Childs, who stands at the centre of the discussion, together with a team of scholars who seek to explore afresh the challenges of canonical reading., The preceding books in this increasingly influential series have been much appreciated. The seventh volume makes an important contribution by demonstrating that canonical approaches to reading the Scriptures have not only been a focus in the biblical discipline for nearly four decades, but are still very much flourishing.
