| Summary: | These two volumes of Jarick's commentary on the books of Chronicles now appear together under the imprint of the Sheffield Phoenix Press (the first volume having been published originally in 2002 by the former Sheffield Academic Press). The publishers say of their Readings series, to which these volumes belong, that the aim is ‘to present a series of compact literary readings of the biblical books, unencumbered by the paraphernalia of traditional criticism’ but ‘alert to the impact of literary studies on biblical criticism.
