Descrição
Resumo:This volume of thirty essays is a collection with a wide-ranging geographical and chronological span, beginning in the early church (with papers by Frances Young and Josephine Laffen) and extending through to contemporary churches in York (David Goodhew) and Africa (Paul Gifford), by way of theological controversy in China and Korea (Paul Rule and Andrew Finch) and the ways in which death was treated by New England Puritans (Adrian Chastain Weimar). The articles are arranged chronologically, with the periods either side of the Reformation receiving roughly equal consideration.
