Contrary to what many people think, the fact that Psalm 25 is an alphabetic acrostic poem, in no way means that it is not rigorously constructed. The careful study of the composition of the Psalm, according to the laws of biblical and Semitic rhetoric, and its comparison with a number of other texts that resonate with it, allow us to arrive at a new and fresh interpretation: this beautiful psalm, in fact, sings of the new covenant. | ||
