Description
Summary:Anthony Bash, Honorary Professor of Theology at Durham University in England, has written a compelling and important study of the concept of interpersonal remorse. His work is both historical and systematic. It draws on theology, philosophy, psychology, philology, biology, criminology, anthropology, and scriptural studies. While presenting an avowedly Christian perspective, the book will be of interest to non-Christians as well. Indeed, Bash’s style is admirably ecumenical and respectful of non-Christian, including secular, thought. The book is erudite, with ample footnotes (not endnotes, thankfully), a lengthy bibliography, and author, subject, and Scripture indexes.
