Итог:The aim of this essay is to explore the connections between Benedictine monasticism and contemporary Christian camping. It examines the history and philosophy of Christian camping and offers a description of Benedictine spirituality as envisioned in The Rule of St. Benedict. Finally it articulates an understanding of Christian camping as a “new monastic” community whose purpose is a lasting spiritual formation through the rhythms and practices native to its context.
