| Summary: | Eschatology and Eucharist illuminate one another. Cullman’s scheme «already – not yet» is analyzed in this paper, showing its inadequacy to express neither the presence of the grace in the Eucharist nor how the Kingdom of God breaks into history. Christian eschatology is better understood from a sacramental approach. This approach departs from a lineal understanding of time; expressing in a better way the newness of the event of Christ’s death and resurrection, and our present belonging to him; and allowing for the hope of the coming fullness. Christian eschatology is a sacramental eschatology. La escatología y la eucaristía se iluminan recíprocamente. Se analiza la insuficiencia del esquema de Cullmann, «ya sí – todavía no», mostrando que no es capaz de expresar la presencia de la gracia en la eucaristía ni el modo de irrupción del reino en la historia. La escatología cristiana se comprende mejor desde una clave sacramental, que rompe con una concepción lineal del tiempo. Dicha clave expresa la novedad de lo acontecido por la muerte y resurrección de Cristo, nuestra actual pertenencia a él con todas sus implicaciones, a la vez que deja abierta la esperanza hacia la consumación futura. La escatología cristiana es sacramental. |
