Description
Summary:The most recent literature about the Psalter, considered as a book of prayer, consists of the recovery of some of its aspects which had been taken into less consideration until now. This key readings which are very much present in the current biblical research in Germany, Italy and France, can be very helpful to learn about various interesting themes in Psalms 113-115 such as how one approaches God to praise him for his goodness, salvation and faithfulness. These themes are commonly found in the Old Testament (particularly in the Pentateuch) and well known to readers. Moreover, they are not considered as secondary source since they include important events of the life of Moses, one of the most well known, appreciated characters and most often quoted figure in the Holy Scripture (nearly 800 times). Moses who is often known as the servant of God (Ps 105) is presented as mediator and patriarch of a blessing (Ex 3-34; Deut 33). Also, Moses seems standing quietly but actively behind the Ps 113-115’s worshipper who eagerly longs for God to reveal his glorious name.
