| Resumo: | Family is the main support for human development. Nowadays family value is being re-discovered. At the same time there are many difficulties that affect the ability of the family to bracket and promote each member`s development. The principal aim of this article is to show a brief perspective on family characteristics and to present what we consider the main personal capacities for counseling or family and couple accompaniment. First of all, we expose the most important social factors that have contributed to post-modern family evolution, what leads us to understand the problems that impact on families and couples at this moment. Finally, we reflect on family and couple counselor’s aptitudes, considering that the counselor him/herself is a tool for change. La familia es soporte vital para el desarrollo de la persona. Cada vez se pone más acento en su importancia; al mismo tiempo también contemplamos múltiples dificultades que afectan y comprometen esa capacidad de impulso en el crecimiento de cada uno de sus miembros. El objetivo de este artículo es ofrecer un panorama sobre la realidad de la familia post-moderna a partir del cual desarrollar una perspectiva sobre las habilidades de la persona que ayuda o acompaña a la familia. En primer lugar, se recorre el mapa sobre los principales factores sociales que han incidido en la transformación de la familia, a partir del cual podemos entender las principales dificultades por las que atraviesan la familia y la pareja actualmente. Finalmente, se presenta una reflexión en torno a la figura del acompañante o consejero de familias y parejas como instrumento per se para ese acompañamiento. |
