| Sumario: | The A. determines what constituted the earliest collection of Gregorian chant. For this, he studied the main liturgical witnesses. The arrival in Metz in 765 of Roman relics enables him to date the spread of Gregorian chant, which also specifies the content of the chant repertory in Rome around 750. The A. establishes that the Gelasian sacramentary is posterior to the arrival of the aforementioned relics. It shows that the (non-Roman) sanctorale of the Gelasian sacramentary comes from southern Italy and was then transmitted to England afterwards. L’A. détermine quel était le fonds primitif du chant grégorien. Pour cela, il étudie les principaux témoins liturgiques. L’arrivée à Metz en 765 de reliques romaines permet de dater la diffusion du chant grégorien. C’est l’occasion de préciser le contenu du répertoire de chant à Rome vers 750. L’A. établit que le sacramentaire gélasien est postérieur à l’arrivée des susdites reliques. Il montre que le sanctoral (non-romain) du gélasien provient du sud de l’Italie, et qu’il est passé ensuite en Angleterre. |
