In the tradition of Islam, it also plays an important role. Muslim theologians often regard it as an important issue of Christian-Muslim dialogue. In the first part of the article, I sketch out and compare the main references of this topic in the New Testament, the Qur’an, and the tradition of Islam. Then I discuss the question of how the belief in the second coming of Christ can be interpreted today. |
