Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Based on data gathered from three years of participant-observation and an internet survey of men active in Promise Keepers (PK), this article describes the diagnostic, prognostic, and motivational frames of PK leaders and PK participants in relation to racism. It also examines the degree of frame resonance between leaders and participants on this issue. PK leaders and participants tend to view racism as a spiritual problem among individuals that can best be overcome when men form relationships with other men from different racial groups. This article concludes that while there is generally a high degree of resonance, some differences do exist between the diagnostic and prognostic frames of PK leaders and PK participants.
